I need a spindle adapter to go from 1x8 to 3/4x16 so that I can use my 3 jaw chuck from my taig lathe on my wood lathe. In shopping around CSUSA has them for $62.99 (pricey) and PSI has them for 19.99. Is the one from CSUSA that much more acurate? I do want it to be precise. I want to be able to take pipe stems that I have turned a tenon on my taig to my wood lathe to do some decorative detail work on. My goal is to leave it in the same chuck so that I don't have to deal with variance between chucks. Any imput who's used these from PSI.

I have both..I can't tell much difference, but I'm not a micrometer person..the psi I have has no flats..hard to remove

I have a PSI adapter that goes from 1" x 8 to 1 1/4" x 8. I use it so that I can mount my Barracuda Chuck and my PSI Colet Chuck on both my Jet mini and my Jet 1642. The adapter seems to work fine. I use it when drilling my blanks, including segmented blanks, on the lathe.

Check out Amazon as well. That's where I got my adapter from. It was not listed on the PSI site but was listed on Amazon under the PSI reseller. Don't know why but I've often seen PSI stuff that I can get from Amazon but not from the PSI website.
