Pen swap with edgar

I received today a magnificent pen from edgar along with some wood blanks. I was looking at these magnetic pen kits a while now but i hesitated to order them; now i know they worth the trouble. The wood is pecan which has wonderful grain and Edgar's work is flawless.

I'm glad you like it, Mike. The Magnetic Zen is my favorite RB kit. I don't use a CA finish very often because I'm just not very good at it & I generally like friction or urethane finishes. I thought I'd give it s try on this one & figured I could always sand it off & do something else if it didn't work out. I was really happy with the way it turned out. Still not a professional job, but probably my best effort to date.

The blanks are all common Texas woods & all are from my farm except the camphor. That came from a local tree, but not from my property. "Exotic" is whatever you can't find locally, so I thought you might enjoy seeing & turning some of our local woods.
