Generally is as follows, not always though!
7mm tubes= cross refill
8mm tubes= parker refill
10mm tubes= parker refill
Rollerball- I like Schmidt 888 and Schmidt 5888. Both are great. Of course, you could use Hauser or some others.

don't think i've ever seen them say. my best guess would be to look at the instructions for the kit and hope they showed the refill.
