Have any pen kits sitting neglected in a drawer somewhere?
Want to help a new penturner get started?

I just turned my first pen today. I have about 175 blanks and 15 pen kits, so I am interested in any pen kits you have. Bushings are a plus, not a must.

Also, if anyone has a Princess pen - chrome w/pink stones... my little sister is begging me to make a pen for her too!

It is a lot cheaper to buy extra pen tubes and turn them. If they do not work out well you can either turn the down to recover the blank tube or just pitch them. You are after the practice as much as anything. Cheap tubes allow you to turn more blanks into pen like shapes and allow you to try different shapes and different finishes. With experience will come better and better pens as a final product. Then you can assemble the best into pens.
