pen display and pricing method ?

I just finished a horrible craft show this weekend. It was a terrible location within the building, I got placed in a back hallway where nobody went too. The fair itself was pretty big, but no traffic my way.

Anyway, how does everyone label the prices of their pens? Do you just place a sign on the table with prices, or does each pen have a little barbell tag on it? I have been placing signs on the table but I think that it looks cluttered that way.

I used to do signs with ranges, but found in watching traffic that quite a few people turned away after just glancing at the signs instead of coming over to pick something up and letting me engage in conversation with them. They also clutter up the table as you mentioned.

I also have done several shows that required all items to be individually priced. After fighting long enough with the sticky barbell tags leaving residue on the clips, I moved back to small jewelry tags. They seem to work well for us although they can be a bit unruly during storage and transport.

I do have a few select signs for one of my higher end sets, razor handles and seam rippers primarily just to let people know what they are if I can't talk to them right away.

I do little cards and separate my pens by price. 8 cards on 3 tables. 2 cards had price on request and 1 said Custom Orders Taken.
