Pen Clips On a Closed End Pen

I want to try a closed end pen. I will take an existing kit and eliminate some of the parts. My question is how to attach the clip. Would epoxy hold it securely enough? I could also part the end of the cap off, turn a small tenon and them reassemble that through the clip.
