Hey All--I'm a member of the IAP Frequent Buyer Club, but this is my first For Sale offering. I've picked up a lot of blanks recently, so I cut some of my stash into blanks to offer. Hopefully the photos will orient correctly. All are 3/4" x 3/4" x 5" long. Pens shown with some woods are not included in the sale, just a "serving suggestion"!!

Shipping is extra, USPS Small Flat Rate Box for $7.20 will hold 20 to 22 blanks. Please claim in this thread, and send a PM as well. Still have a real job, so lunch time is when I can normally respond during the day.

#1--Texas Mesquite--4 blanks from a 1.5" blank, so they will make great sets. $16.

#2--Quilted Makore--subtle but elegant on nice hardware. 6 blanks cut side by side. $22.

#3 & #4--Maple Burl (big leaf I think, but can't say for sure)--like the Makore, this comes from a Queen Anne furniture maker in the Northeast. Would be better stabilized, but the pictured pen was turned (gently, with a little CA fill) in the natural state. 6 blanks in each lot, $30 each lot. (#3 is SOLD)

#5 & #6--Brazilian Chestnut--my daily pen for the past year has been a cigar from this batch, wax only finish and usually in my pants pocket. Still looks great. The Sierra pictured is with CA, and for myself--i'd finish with only carnuba!! 5 blanks in each lot, $18 each lot.

#7 & #8--Canarywood--turns nicely, the colors are a change of pace. I think the pictured pen is turned at 15 degrees off straight, but these are straight cut. 4 consecutive blanks in each lot, $16 each lot.

#9 & #10--Curly Maple--this batch has made several great boxes, but in pen blank size the curl doesn't show well. Turned is good, especially with a little BLO. Would probably dye great as well. 5 blanks to a lot, $15 each lot.

#11--Bloodwood--Great wood for segmented contrast, but sanding will bleed the colors...got to use a skew to finish to keep the crisp color separation. By itself, it's another simple but beautiful wood. 5 blanks, $18.

#12--Ipe--Hard as a rock, will buff great without a finish if you like. I prefer friction polish on these, but i'm okay with CA as well. Couldn't find an Ipe pen around, and there must be 4 or 5 here!! 6 blanks for $18.

Thanks for looking,
earl
