I've had Pay Pal login problems, since they changed the style of their login page on Wednesday. I am prevented from successful logon, even when i provide my bank # when asked for. At logon my correct bank number is shown correctly(the ending 2 numbers).

I called, waited 16 + minutes and the person answering for pay pal customer service had no idea of why this was happening. Told me to call back, which I did today. Waited 15 minutes on line, and decided enough was enough.

I decided to close out pay pal and try to start all over again and guess what. I can't close pay pal out until I log on to my account. Can't log on, can't close out account.

Any body had this problem this week? I use pay pal alot, but.............

Used my account twice today -- no issues.

Have you tried to used another browser? Sometimes I do have trouble with Firefox or Chrome, so I switch to the other and I can do whatever it is I need to. If neither of these work, I then use Safari. Don't have IE, but if you do, give that a try as well.

no problems here. they do have a newer style login page so I think I know what
you mean, but it works ok for me still. Mine loads the old page but if I intentionally log out, it appears as the new one. still works though.
hope you get it figured out!
worst case...find someone you trust 100%, have them login to your account and do business to close out for you if they can log on.

I extremely dislike Pay Pal. Why would you let some company have unrestricted access to your bank account? Their alternate solution was I could get a credit card from them. I do not need another credit card. I have a friend who got one and the interest rate was through the roof. Then they said I could get a prepaid card where I give them my money upfront and they get to hold it until I decide to buy something. I told them their alternatives were unacceptable and canceled my account. If I can't buy it with the credit card of my choice then I don't need it.

thanks guys. I do have mozilla firefox 5. I'm going to try to load another browser.

Russ; that is uber-old, ancient, antiquated, Update your Firefox to the latest version you can. You may have to update Java too!

Note; Backup your bookmarks first.

I was going to say the same thing. Firefox 5!!! The newest is version 19!!

Obviously, I agree, but a lot of individuals aren't set up to take credit cards, I do credit cards where possible.

If you think C.C. companies are any less invasive than P.Pal, well maybe you might want to rethink that. But, as I said, I essentially agree with you. This is just a wakeup call for me. I'm divesting myself as much as I can, from this kind of "stuff". I'm reconditioning myself.

You can use any credit card with Paypal not just a PP credit card. I use two different cards and have had no problems..

I got the PP credit card as I felt it was a safer than using any of my other cards. I have one card I use as the back up to the PP card. Both cards do not have a large credit limit either at my request. Like it much better than them having access to my bank account.

I found the problem(I think). On Wednesday, my email changed from Hotmail to Outlook. Same address as with hotmail, no change there.
Pay pay somehow can't recognise my existing email address with Outlook. I finally got another pay pal customer service? person on the phone and asked them to send me an email. No luck, after 3 attempts email wasn't received at my end. Now on to Outlook to see if they can fix.

If you are using google chrome you have to go find the cookies in the browers and delete them. This happens to me more than you would think. And also, i couldnt log in for a day, then I restarted my comp and it worked. So try restarting it. that is the number 1 rule of trying to get something to work.

Thanks guys, I just downloaded Firefox 17. Couldn't download FF19 to Ubuntu. Pay pal now works fine with FF17.

Again thanks
