I've had my vise from Paul for quite a while now and today I finally got a chance to use it. It is worth the price and then some, I was on my second Woodcraft vise, only because they replaced the first one.
I would like to thank Paul and say the wait was will worth it.

I love Paul's vice for square blanks - but I have to figure a way for it to handle better some of the round blanks.
I use sharp Norse drill bits - but when I have to use a bigger bits for Retro kit - they tend to spin around a bit.

I think that if I drill in two stages - small drill bit followed by the larger might reduce the times it spins. Another though would be to add some stick on sand paper to the vice to give it a better grip.

To be honest, I've haven't had this problem with round blanks. A solution would be to cut 2 small pieces of sandpaper and put a piece on both sides of the blank where the jaws of the vise touch the blank. That should stop the spinning.

If not, then you'll just have a pre-finished blank[}:)]:D
