Parallel clamps not parallel?

Am I being too picky about these new clamps or are they supposed to be angled inward like this?

I thought they were supposed to be (and stay) perfectly parallel. I know Bora isn't the most high end brand out there, but these still aren't cheap. Am considering a return.

Clamp them to a board across the width of the jaws with moderate pressure and see if they become parallel. Pony pipe clamps come like that to account for pipe bow and the head tightening up. My old K-bodys don't and never did but you paid a lot more for them.

Are you clamping down tight in the photo or just touching? Sometimes there is play in the ends and it straightens out when clamped tight.

I believe they are skewed that way to keep them from clamping at the end that is closest to the bar. If they clamped closest to the bar they would lose their pressure at the end farthest from the bar and that would not give an equal amount of pressure.
