What works better for you guys and gals painting the tubes or the inside of the blank? I am preparing some blanks that I think I should paint either one just wanted to know what works best.
Thanks,

If you paint only the tube, you may well see the glue through the finished pen.

If you paint ANYTHING and use CA, it may change the color when applied.

Depends on the blank, for me.

Almost.....If you use CA it will react with the paint and leave some "open spaces". I make and sell a lot of cactus and have found that if you paint both and then use epoxy that is tinted with the same paint you will never see the glue.Try it you'll like it:D:D:D.

If you just paint the tube, you can still see any bubbles left in the glue, if you paint the blank you will not see that.

I paint both, but I've been using CA. I really have to try it with tinted epoxy like Rick and Roy said. That sounds like the safest bet. For those that use epoxy, what type do you use?
