I helped my grandson turn his first pen, which we entered into the over 13 and under 17 contest. Apparently he really enjoyed doing it.
I didn't think he was going to want to use the gift card since this was the first time I had convinced him to turn a pen with me - so I offered to send him cash and use the gift certificate myself. I also offered to buy him an IAP Glass as a sort of trophy of his winning entry. He rejected the cash, took the glass and asked me to ordered some kits with the gift certificate so the next time they are in town he can turn a few more pens with me.
Thank you Jeff and all those who spent the time organizing the BASH and thanks also to those who have provided the prizes. With four sons who have all made pens with me, and three grandkids, this is the first one who has asked to turn a second pen! FINALLY!
