Here is a Satin Designer Twist Pencil done in Osage Orange. This is entirely too much fun

I really enjoy turning Osage Orange even though it will dull out carbide tools quickly.

You turned a beautiful pen.

Try turning crosscut Osage Orange - makes for a beautiful pen.

Did you reverse the tubes? Or is the appearance of the upper tube being longer just a photographical anomaly?

Osage orange is an excellent wood. Yes, it is very hard but turns and polishes nicely. It will turn darker with time. Nice work on the pencil.

Do a good turn daily!

Just the angle of the camera makes the tubes look that way. The upper tube is shorter.

Thanks,
Erik
