Has anyone worked with green orange tree or green avocado tree wood? A friend is pulling out trees tomorrow and wants to know if I want the trunks! I'll do some online research, but any help would be appreciated.

I have worked with wet orange wood. Since it is a fruit tree I leave it thick and rough turns things. If I cut it into blanks I wax the ends and stack it so that it can dry slowly

Free wood is never turned down. (that's a pun).

Anyway, I take anything I can find. Somethings work out, somethings go in the fireplace. Nothing goes to the landfill.

Hey thanks for the links to photos. I found out that most of the wood will be avocado. The other wood is lemon tree. Looking forward to turning some pieces. Considering turning green and letting it warp or just doing some rough outs to dry. Decisions, decisions!
