Been awhile since my last turning but I was at the land this past weekend and came across an orange osage tree that I had cut down as part of clearing for a fence line. The fallen tree has been sitting there for probably a year now and decided to cut a sample piece. Here is the pen from it showing some spalting and sap. Thanks for viewing.

Very nice looking pens, Osage Orange is becoming my favorite woods to work with, wow i wish i had a Osage tree in my backyard!!!

Mark,
Working on learning to use the aperture on the camera for angled shots. I guess I could have left it laying on the cloth; just trying out new ways of photography. Thanks for asking.

Hi Louie. I also like this wood. I was surprised at how stable it was after being left outside for over a year. And it really gives a nice sheen on a CA finish. Thanks for compliments.
