I did not want to confuse chucks and steal Bobs thread so I thought i would start a new one for the Oneway. I am needing something to hold small pieces like the caps for the lucite pens I am working on. These are about the same size as the caps that hold the clip on the Jr Gents. We have the Talon and just wonder if the spigot jaws will hold these small pieces.

I'm a couple thousand miles away from my Talon, but I believe the spigot jaws go down to around 1/4".

Hi Mike; I just measured my Spigot Jaws (Oneway part # 3016), they close down to .2050" as near as I can measure with a mic.

See my pm to you!

The spigot jaws on my Talon chuck are a bit "grungy" but a 15/64" transfer punch is the smallest diameter punch from the HF set they hold snugly.

Not intending to start an argument, my jaws absolutely clean will hold a 7/32" transfer punch snuggly wuggly!

You can apply masking or duct tape to inside jaws to grip smaller pieces. Keeping item tight without crushing or marring would be the fun part.

If leave item long so can drill and finish turn think it will work.

Mike I just measured the interior of the Oneway spigot jaws when closed @ 0,186 inch which confirms the measures above.
But I just found out that my spigot jaws (for the Oneway chuck) are not the same as the Talons. Maybe this explains the small difference between measurements.
