One piece blank for Great Outdoors pen?

Can this kit be modified to be able to use one long blank by doing away with the center band and not gluing in the "lower tube"?

Most every two piece twist ballpoint can be modified into a one piece. I have done several(slimline, cigar, perfect fit, el grande twist, jr gent twist to name a few) and so has Les Elm. Search the library for instructions and compare the process to this pen. I say yes, it can be done.
