I've tried to make two Jr. Gent FP in the last two days, the first was an acrylic blank and really came out nice. I was getting ready to shoot some photo when it rolled off the hard rail to out back steps.
and I had to pick up the pieces to many to try and fix...or well these things happen. Next was a stabilized and dyed buckeye burl blank. I was working on a custom finial and broke off all but a very little bit of the tab on the bottom it was able to same it and it did look nice. Everything else went great until the assembly...the clip end was really loose so I sure some CA to keep it in place ( it had the upper and lower barrels put together) the finial on the lower barrel was loose too so I sure a bit of CA for that. The problem turned out that what I thought was a bit of CA turned out to be a Bit of CA and it glued everything together I was using thin CA..I did want to go inside and get my thick CA.
I was just a little bit upset and well I chucked the pen across the yard. I guess I need to stay away from the shop for a while or maybe just not try a Jr. gent for a while. I know these things do happen but why does it happen to me....Why....Why does it happen to me.:frown:
