Olive ash ovoid forms

Hello folks

I've been enjoying making more ovoid forms since the last spalted beech one I posted- Its strange that for such a simple form I'm finding it a real challenge to get right!! I've made about a dozen now- here are a couple which I think are o.k

5 1/2" wide by 5 5/8" tall

5 3/8" wide by 5 3/4" tall

Beautifil work, George! What are you using for a hollower? Have you used a laser in hollowing? What's the wall thickness?

Robert111-I use normal hand held tools like the mini munroe or homemade tools like the David ellsworth/oland style. I personally don't believe rigs or lasers are beneficial to able bodied turners unless you want to go deeper than 14"
the wall thickness is around an 1/8" to 3/16"
