Old pen nibs

I was going through an old box and found some old pen nibs, I believe. I have posted a picture in my album. If anybody can shed some light on them, I would appreciate it.

Nice looking pens for the Freedom project. I sent off 34 too. A great cause! Yup, they're pen nibs alright! Don't know what for tho!!!

They kind of look like caligraphy nibs to me. The various shapes would make me think they are intended for more artistic uses than for normal writing.

I think Chuck is right. They look like dipping nibs for calligraphy. I tried to learn that about 30 years ago but couldn't keep my left hand out of the wet ink.
