My great grandmother died early Friday morning. She lived a long life of 99 years. She was born in a dugg out, traveled in a covered wagon, married at 16. Was a the kind of woman that if she wanted it she have it. For example when she before started dating the man she married he was engaged to a different lady but as she allways said "I took care of it" ( all this in a small Texas town at the age of 16, you didn't cross her). She was witty smart and humors. She was one of the most devout Christian lady's I have ever meet. She was a expert spades player and a revengfull phase 10 player. She wasn't your notmal old lady she was a tough old bird. She went water rafting on the rip grand at 90 and promised to jump out of a plane at 100. She latter finnshed the joke she laid out almost a decade latter saying, I said I would jump out of a plane but I never said it would be off the ground. Love you grandmother k

Sorry for your loss. My Grandmother did a lot of the same as yours, it was just the way things were done in Texas. I grew up mostly with her and my Grandfather. I sure miss them

Sorry for your loss, but such a great story. Made me smile. What a blessing it must have been to have her in your life.

Luke, sorry for your loss. Grandparents and Great Grandparents are the history and glue of our families. Someday you will fill that role and it sounds like you had some great role models.
