Old Bamboo cutting board. Worth it?

Intercepted a bamboo cutting board heading for the trash. Had for a while and never used. Wife decided it needed to go. Is it worthwhile cutting it up and trying to turn it?? Still learning about these things. Thanks.

You can turn bamboo but it tends to require very sharp tools, is hard in sharp tools and fussing to turn. It can look cool but I got rid of all my bamboo.

It does make a pretty pen. Is the board thick enough to cut some slimline blanks from?

It's about 3/4" thick.
