There was a recent discussion here recently and it was suggested that you can use them to make some BEADS from
the cut offs.

When my father-in-law would visit he would go to my shop while I was at work and take my cutoffs and cut them at angles, sand them smooth and glue them together. We called them the "quilted series".

I make mostly kitless pens now and use them when I have a piece of material that is borderline on the length. I superglue them on the tailstock end of the material I am using. Then when I use my #2 center drill to create a spot for my tailstock live center support, I'm drilling into the off cut not the material for the pen. When shaping the pen, that turns off leaving only the desired pen material. I use even very small pieces, 5-6mm for this.

I use them all the time for segmenting. They can make really nice accent pieces in a barrel, center bands, finials, etc.

...If you don't want yours, I'll pay shipping to send them my way ;)
