Oak Bog Finish Help

I did a search but didn't find my answer...although I know it is out there somethere!

I remember hearing from another member that the CA finish is not the best way to finish Oak Bog because it hides / masks the grain. I am interested in opinions about what finish to put on the pen (and even if to sand it to 12000?

Try bogoak or BogOak. I found several hits on either spelling. When I included finish, the results were overwhelming.

CA will fill in any pores or cracks so if you are trying to maintain the feel of the wood, you want to use something else. I have finished Bog Oak with CA and also with Poly or lacquer.
