So Sharon, what part of apple pealing didn't you understand?? Great video !! Jim S

I think I'll stick with my peeler/corer/slicer. Turn the crank and it peels, cores and spiral cuts the apple all in one pass! But it sure isn't this fast!

My Dad used to start the charcoal grill with the oxy/acetylene torch. Well oxy/acetylene until it started to go, then he shut off the acetylene and just fed it pressurized oxy. He had to be careful so he didn't blow a hole in the bottom of the cheap grills he used to buy!

Sharon I think you might have missed the point. You said you would stick to your kitchen tool. That's fine because you want to make a great pie. A man uses a power tool not to make a pie but to use something with speed and torque to get a job done. People will watch his video because it's cool but would rather eat your pie because time and care went into the pie and not the process. Thanks for posting the video.

There is a tv show called Hillbilly Blood and they used a chipper/shredder to shred apples to make applejack. That was really over the top but it worked. I just wonder of that finished applejack had a hickory taste to it....

I bet if you cut off the crank part of the handle down to the straight part of the crankshaft you could connect a drill to it and speed things up!

Happy turning (or coring)
