I have been turning pens on my Nova comet lathe for a couple of years now. I love the machine, especially the variable speed and reverse functions. I do everything on the machine from drilling and squaring the blanks to turning and final polishing. I have my first show coming up soon and all of a sudden, just as I am trying to increase my inventory, the variable speed started really varying! Desperate, I called Teknatool support and explained my situation to the support tech. He said they don't have any controllers in inventory so he is sending me a whole new machine. This will restart my warranty too!
I couldn't be happier. This is what customer service is all about.
Full disclosure -I'm getting a new machine! They have a very loyal customer (I really like my Nova G3 chuck with pen jaws too!)

I also had some dealings with their support folks and I will second their professionalism - they were very easy to deal with, and they did everything possible to make things right.
