My Father in Law has a "HAMILTON" Pocket watch, and has tasked me with finding out any information about them, as well as what it might be worth.
The only information I can offer is it was purchased in the 50's for around $125.00. I wound it this morning, and it started right up.......
I will probably be taking it to a jeweler this week, but thought I'd ask around for interest sake.

Hamilton Watch Company has gone through many changes over the years. You will need to ascertain the model and trim (bracelet type etc) and then go and do your search armed with how many jewels the watch has as well as the serial nr if available.

The watch back of a 50's Hamilton should open very easily and without any tools

It's a pocket watch, shouldn't need no tools to open it. Just twist it off.
