So a friend of mine has an uncle that deals with wood working tools, he buys and sells them all the time. He picked up a powermatic lathe and flipped it for a nice profit. the reason i say this is because it came with pen kits. he called me to ask me if i was interested in the kits, which i was, being the addict that i am i want to buy everything that is pen related lol. ANYWAYS, i met up with him to see what he had and to my suprise it was 100 woodcraft slim line kits plus a mt2 mandrel! we haggled for a bit and came up with i traded him a cigar pen i made that was UF gators colored (for some reason he likes the gators, but we won't hold that against him:biggrin and GAVE THEM TO ME!!!! thats like 400 bucks in kits! when i got home i did realize that all the kits were missing brass tubes:frown: but i am sure i can pick up 200 tubes somewhere reasonable.

Not a bad score though i think! Made a cold crappy night a little bit better :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

I love those once in a lifetime trades. Kinda hope I have something like that happen to me involving pen turning.

No No No. That leads to bigger wood, new tools and a new learning curve. The mustard would be the cheap part or the transaction. Besides, the Mrs. would never share!
