The secret is to trust your training and experience, and NOT trust the other guy's training and experience. And know where the ditch is.

Fortunately or unfortunately, I know where the ditch is... when the pavement ends on at the side of some of these back roads, you are in the ditch.... and if you meet another pick up truck, both better slow and check to see if the road is wide enough to pass... you can be only inches apart.

There used to be a couple of roads around where I lived that when you met another vehicle you used to have to get out and check with the other driver to see who had to back up the shortest distance to get off the road so you could pass.

Official snow depth in my town is 35 inches. Still no sign of a plow but my rental truck is blasting through everything. Not going to make it to the airport to be in TX by morning.
