Posts from the old site that use NOPARSE are broken.
Can you give me a link to one such post?

Take a look now. The BB tags are correct (plain), but the images are broken because they were full sized inserts of attachments from another post.
I went ahead and replaced all instances of noparse. There were only 42 posts that contained. Not a very popular tag
