No slimlines for a while

Until I get some new between center bushings. I took a newly finished blank out of the lathe and I dropped the blank on the floor, the blank didn't break, but both bushings went 2 separate ways, I found one of them, the other is somewhere in the twilight zone....

I tried a mandrel for the second one, let's just say that I'm not making slims till I get new bushings....

You can just pop the tubed blank between your 60 deg centers and turn without the bushings. Take care to measure often being sure not to go below the measurements of the kit (I use a pair of digital calipers...)

toddlajoie has the answer---I don't use bushings either, just the blanks between centers and my trusty digital calipers--
