Anyone else decide to go the entire month without shaving? I usually only keep a groomed goatee, but took the leap!

Well Seamus, apart from you looking so much older than me....,we could almost be twins....
I'm going home tomorrow so I scraped the crud off the cheeks to look my normal handsome self.

I had no idea that Movember was done in USA !! Cool !! Do you guys collect money for charity too??

Both my sons have grown 'tashes and chin bum fluff for Movember, but they can't beat the old goat for a bit of grey!!

I wish I would have taken a picture. I just had to use up my last 16 days of vac at work, the last two weeks of Oct. and got away with not shaving up until the last day. Work doesn't allow any facial hair other than a mustache so I had to shave. At least it made the wife happy.

Yup, a few of my friends and a bunch from church have been al in since Nov. 1........can't wait till Sunday to get this hedgehog off my face.

In 62 years, I've never grown a beard, but did have somewhat of a mustache for about 10 years when the military finally allowed them. I did seriously tried this November to try to grow one, and after 5 days, had a pretty growth going and it was DRIVING ME NUTS....and my wife was not pleased at all. The 6th day when I got up, it immediately came off and boy was I glad.

Hey I tried, but I'm just not destined for a beard in this lifetime.

I keep a pretty full beard but meant to set up a fund raising effort this year and do something different but slipped my mind. I'm 34, my beard actually grew in thicker after I turned 30 and had kids

I'm active Military so I couldn't go without shaving for the entire month, but I took two weeks of leave which is almost over now and I've gone without shaving for those two weeks. Looks odd!

I found wearing a beard took more care than regular shaving unless you didn't mind looking like a Mountain Man with a dull hunting knife.

Beards always make me smile though....I think about Ed Shinnerling who lived in my home town when I was a kid. The official start of Spring was when Shinner shaved his beard which he grew every winter.

Left the Air Force in 82... Wife never saw me without the beard until after we had been married for a while. Shaved it off for a job interview. Wife said grow it back quick. Grew it out longer last year & played Santa for a few events!

My wife and kids won't let me shave the goatee, but also won't let me go with the full beard. The wouldn't recognize me without it.

first time with a beard.

started the growing with the furlough in October. Got a couple of offers to play Santa last week. Shaved it off this morning..

Been off and on since I gave Uncle Sam my two weeks. Was in Korea for a while so everything above the neck was the longest it's been in 12 years.

Between military and working in a nuclear power plant I couldn't go the full beard route until I retired in O2. Found the beard didn't let the respirator seal well enough so cut back to goatee and stash after a few years. It's only been off twice when I goofed while trimming and immediately got the word from the better half to grow it back.

I started to let my grow but I got tired of people stopping me and telling me I was too pretty to cover it up with a beard.
Who am I to argue with so many experts?
