Gotcha :D Okay, so this one was to be in shades of cocobolo.
But I couldn't get the finish right on this one.
Well after the third try, got it. ;)
I really like this one because it is so black,
with hints of brown and nice figure up close.
Oh, a Bocote Gentlemans pen, in case your tired of cocobolo :D
Thanks for lookin, Anthony

Sweeet Anthony.... very sweet... I just love cocobolo because of the differences in colors you get...
I have to get some of the stuff I got from Ilikewood and do a couple of Jr Gents in Platinum... I really like the combination of cocobobo and a silver finish...

I really like the Gentleman series of kits, but for some reason I just can't get past something in the Ligero that bothers me... I think it is the nib assembly.. something about the shape just turns me off...
Well, I guess that is why they have so many kits out there... we can't like them all... LOL

RT. This is for you [;)]
My old eys can still see two pieces of grain to line up [:D]
I didn't hide nothing under the clip, like your old trick [:D]
This was a rejected photo that should clear my name. [:o)]

Thanks for the comments.......

Anthony, I know all about that trick photography. [:D]

J/K, doubt if I'll ever catch up to the number of digs you've given me, but I'm working on it. [:D] You know that Ole saying (never get mad just get even) [:D]

Joking aside, your pens looked great as always. And I knew the grain would match, but I also knew I could make you post another pic to prove it. [:D]

Very nice looking pens Anthony . I've always been a big fan of Cocobolo and I've seen some lately that is more on the redish/orange side with the dark chocolate brown that's absolutely beautiful .

I sold all my green stock to RT. he pays a premium for it. [:D]

If you guys like what you see, when Bill (Ilikewood) offers his
cocobolo for sale again, jump on it. It is the nicest stuff around. [:)]

Thanks for the comments as allways.

What is your secret for getting the grain to match up perfectly? I try counting barrel revolutions before assembling and "guesstamating", but it just never matches exactly.

Btw...great looking pens, Anthony!

Gary, I assemble the pen barrel first, then screw the cap coupler on the pen, then place the cap over the plastic fitting and line up the grain, I start it enough so it doesn't move when I unscrew it, then press fit it in.

Thanks for the compliments Anthony on the Cocobolo. It is fantastic to see such wonderful artistry on such a wood.

For those who are interested, I am cutting up a few more lots of Cocobolo this weekend and should be posting by Saturday.
