I finished up a few more night lights and thought I would put out a description of how I make them.
1. Using 2" PVC pipe I turn a walnut base that fits snugly into the pipe. I put the walnut in one end of the pipe and seal it with hot melt glue (spray with mold release BEFORE putting the walnut in pipe)
2. Then cast the resin and put it in the pressure pot
3. Pull the cast out, drill out the base until you hit the resin. I use spigot jaws in the drilled out base and turn the outside to the size/shape I want.
4. I then create a cap for the bottom that fits snugly.
5. On that bottom cap I glue an LED light that I wire to a USB chord that cut one end off of and solder to the LED
6. Then cut a groove in the inside of the hole to accommodate the USB chord
7. Test fit it to make sure it works then glue the bottom on.
8. Plug it in and watch it glow!
Let me know if there are any questions.
