Stay away from those "slime line" pens. They are kinda messy!!!
Try some of the single barrel pens - Sierras, Wall St II, etc are the next pens to try. They leave a little more "meat" on the pen and are good for turning either on a mandrel or between centers.
Keep at it and show us some of your pens.

Sierra types are simple, look nice & not too expensive. Cigar types, rollerball & fountain pen are better for showing off a really nice blank.

All still turn mostly slims - in general you have more flexibility for style creativity than with other kits.

Depends on your budget, skill level and what you want to turn. Look online or in a catalog and see what sparks your fancy.

You can try a Trimline, Saturn, Comfort, or Creekline. They are all similar as far as assembly to the slimline, but thicker at the middle. The next level up would be something like the Sierra (Wall St., LeRoi, Gatsby. Similar pens have different names depending on where you buy them.) You could also look at the bolt action, Celtic, or some of PSI's other theme pens if that strikes your fancy. Up from there are Roller Balls and fountain pens. Usually they cost a bit more, but if you follow instructions you should have no problem with them.

All good advice, but it really doesn't matter. Only a couple of pens require a tenon. Everything else is just size variation and slight differences in assembly. You have already done one of the hardest - little margin for error, transmission has to be set correctly and you have to do a lot of turning to get down to diameter. My first 5 pens were:
#1 slimline
#2 cigar
#3 nouveau sceptre
#4 majestic
#5 finally got around to Sierra
