After seeing some great shops posted here, I thought I would renovate my dog house. This bench is phase 1 of a 3 phase project. It is 10' x 24"
and 1 1/2" thick with replaceable 1/4" masonite top. Phase 2 & 3 will consist of 2 more benches running length of two other walls.

That is way to clean, you may have to start calling it your studio. Of course if you call it your studio then you can charge more for the pens you make in it.
Isn't that correct if something is made in a studio it cost more? It's considered art.

Nicely done, Ben! very neat and organized.

Someday, I'm gonna have to get you to show me how to use the Pen Wizard. Mine is still sitting new in the box and has been for a long time.

Well done! I like the craftsman "middlle" cabinets...very innovative! I have been collecting plans to make a portable workbench have decided to use a masonite top. Is it 1/4 inch? Is it screwed down?

Ben that is a great set up. We use masonite as well.

Unlike the other folks that comment about too clean, I realize that you got it all cleaned up for the photo. I can look at the door to the right of the bench and tell you are just like the rest of us.

Problem is it would take me a month to get it clean enough for a photo op:rolleyes: how in the world do you find anything, all my stuff is under shavings so I know exactly were it is:biggrin:.

Ben, I am currently doing the same thing. Small shop addition and new 12' long bench. 2x4 construction, masonite top, etc.
Really like the idea of the Craftsman drawer unit under the bench.

Real nice Bench. I like the Craftsman drawers a lot. I have a bank of stand up Craftsman drawers and they are so nice to have for storing tools. It is quite tidy, but I like it that way myself, otherwise I loose things.
