As you all may know, I have been working on a new website for my father and myself. The website is to offer the custom duracoat services.

As I value all of your opinions and learn from your honest critiques, I am asking you all to take a look and let me know what you think. It is not complete yet.. A new logo is in the works, and some other aspects are being worked on..

www.customgunfinish.com

Thanks in Advance

Brian...

The site is inconsistent. You are popping up new windows with different colors, layouts, and sizes. Your Home Page and Online Store are constrained differently. Why? Your Colors page is totally different. Why? Avoid that target="_blank" unless there is a real good reason for it. The user has to close the window that you just created. That can get very annoying.

One basic layout and design applied to all pages unless there is a good reason to deviate... that should be your rule. Use fonts and colors in a uniform, predictable manner. (Unless the site's theme is to be unpredictable which sometimes works... not often... but sometimes).

In the store if you click on Handgun Refinishing your page moves to the left and then it moves back to the right when you click another link. You have a code error on that page. That needs to be tweaked.

On your store front page, your graphic needs reworking. The letter outlines are aliased... they have visible stairsteps. It wipes out the professional look that you have worked hard to get. You can easily fix that in Photoshop. I would also suggest not having Customgunfinish.com and Customgunfinish.com right next to one another in the masthead.

In your store Nav links you keep repeating the word Refinishing and it causes you to go to a new line. Use it once like

Refinishing: Accessories Handgun Long Gun Shotgun Tactical Long Gun

Maybe put a little widget between the list items and of course link them.

I think you are off to a good start. Make a few adjustments and you will have a very professional site. Good luck!
:wink::wink::wink:

Edit... I see that you are already working on the logo. That's good.
