Here's a new machine I got. It's a CNC mill with a 4th axis, so it can do engraving on the outside of rings or pens. I got it to do a better job than my tabletop mill on engraving. It has coolant and the spindle is rock solid, so it does a better cut. The tooling is manually changed and is R8 taper, but it has special dual contact tooling to gain more stiffness and height repeatability. It uses the Mach 3 control, so is PC based. It's a great size, and the cost was right. At 1300 pounds, I was able to move it myself without need for a forklift tearing up the yard. I'm very pleased with the smoothness of the cut and the engineering of the machine.
