Hi,

I just recently picked up the craft after some time exploring the offerings. I settled on a PSI combo to get myself moving. My background in woodworking goes back some 20 years and I have always loved using the lathe. Despite owning a Shopsmith Mark 5, I shelled out for smaller lathe, etc. I like the smaller footprint. Anyway, I am hooked. This forum is great. I have learned all about finishes, tried (and I think) succeeded in a respectable CA-BLO result. I even managed to sell my first pen, and get a lot of people interested in them.

My quest now is getting the best sources for parts. Thanks for the help.

Welcome from a fellow New Yorker. I'm in the Rochester area and have family just south of Albany. I also go to Albany for business quite a bit.

You will find lots of great information here and a group of very helpful people. I'm new to all this and have learned more than I will ever remember.
 
Welcome John! Be sure and show off some of your work in the SOYP section, it is always nice to see new work.
