Vleaning out one of my seldom used email service and found and email from Amazon saying my order had been succesfully cancelled. Almost clicked but did not. Let my mouse hover over the link and read what came up on the bottom and sure enough they were a phishing. Some have probably seen this but wanted to bring it up as this is the first I have seen of this type.

There's new ones coming out every day. I've just got several of them on an account I rarely use on the theme of "please confirm this forum you just signed up for." Which of course I never signed up for.

I get them all the time. "Payment recieved..." is the latest one. Naturally since I haven't bought anything recently I know this to be bogus. Be careful out there, it's a jungle.

The real latest is that Obama's administration is going to pay your gas and electric or water bills. Please send bank account, SS and credit card numbers. The talking heads on the tube said this morning that 100,000 or more have responded. Because their friends on the social sites told them about it, so it must be true!
Man It is really amazing what people will do with out checking things out.

I always thought people were gullible when I worked the carnival, But man the internet got it all over the carnie's in spades!

I saw that. If people are that gullible (stupid) they deserve what they get. My room mate will click on any email offering the slightest chance of .... money or other reward, even after I have repeatedly told her not to open ANYTHING that she did not expect. Problem is she uses my computer and just in the last week I've had to spend an hour or more on 3 seperate occasions cleaning up the malware and unauthorised downloads. Thankfully I haven't got any viruses or anything I can't remove and no damage done ...YET.
