Nice shaping on both of those Sam. I like the dye pattern on the maple. Did you do it like that intentionally or is that just how it absorbed the dye?

Fred, That was just the way it turned out. I could tell when I cut and drilled that the dye did not penetrate too deeply.

A little to curvey for my simple taste,
but you did a real fine job on the turnings.
Never cut starlite before, how was it to turn?

Not too bad to turn, easier than Inlace I thought. Did not seem as brittle.

Ok Here is the newbie showing his ignorance. Dyed before turning not as a finish effect. I like it more and more. I have some box elder that may be seeing that this weekend.
