FedEx FINALLY delivered my new laser engraver today. I love it! I made my first test burn on a tongue depressor. Still a lot more learning and practice before I start engraving pens, but I'm encouraged.

Not yet, but I still haven't figured out how to engrave acrylic. Not nearly as frustrating as you thought it might be!
I've seen references to using dry erase markers. In fact, my engraver came with one. What does that do?That will involve "painting" the acrylic with black marker and even then it might not work.
I look forward to it.When I get some time I'll post the techniques for all of the stuff I've used to fill engravings in both wood and acrylic. It's a long list. I've tried a lot of stuff, some that work, others that have failed miserably. Rub n Buff needs a long time to dry and you need many layers to fill the void. Then your favorite CA technique over the blank to seal it in.
What engraver did you get and where from if you don't mind me asking and where do I get information on it ThanksFedEx FINALLY delivered my new laser engraver today. I love it!
