Hello all,
I have a summer cottage on Branch Lake located midway between Bangor and Bar Harbor. I will return to cottage in late June for the sumnmer and will bring a newly acquired Delta 46-700 lathe and a set of Sorby turning tools. I am a newbie and will be trying my luck at making pens and bowls and whatever else this summer might bring.
Can anyone suggest a turners club near Bangor/Bar Harbor?Would also appreciate suggestions on the following. From what I have gleaned from this website I think I will invest in a Rikon slow sped grinder w 8 inch wheels and Wolverine sharpening jig and use the Sorby tools for pen making..............or should I buy carbide tipped turning tool for pen making?
Thanks in advance
