Hi!

My name is Marc and I've been a woodturner for a few years now. I started out with pens but gravitated to boxes, vessels, and bowls as time went on. I decided that I'd get back into penturning a bit when I realized it was the only thing that I could make in a short burst in my unheated workshop.

I've been looking a folks pen design photos, and I must say this is a very talented group. I hope no one will mine if I 'borrow' some of these ideas for my work.

If anyone has a suggestion how to feel comfortable in an 11 degree workshop let me know. Right now I feel like a zen monk on a mountaintop. My toes freeze while the lathe turns.
 
Marc: Welcome to the mess. I'm from Roseville---11 mile and gratiot area and yes i know all about the kold garage. Once it warms up to at least 50 send me a message and well get together and talk pens. mikem
