Well, finally decided to up and by a 14" bandsaw. Went and bought the HF. I now it may not be the most popular among folks, but I know a couple of folks that have had great results from it, so.....Besides, I sold a tool I had and wasn't using, had a 20% off coupon, it was on sale for $299, AND I had a $100 gift card. So in a sense it cost me nothing out of pocket, and I still got some change left! Hopefully will get it set up tonight. Going to have to go with the original blade for a bit, but hey.

wooooooooooo hoooooooooooooo
call me silly, but i would have bet good money that you had one......dang...ya can't beat that price!
enjoy......i have a grizzly and i love it......just the right height.....and the wife loves it too.....and she don't like power tools with open blades...

congrats

I have had a small one here and there, just never been satisfied. Now that my daughter is doing some turning, I wasn't going to let her use the table saw for a while, now I can show her how to use this one!

when i bought mine, the wife wasn't too sure about using it....then i made the mistake in showing her just how thin i could cut with it........now, the bandsaw is all she likes to use now.....should have bought 2 LOL

Paul,
If you decide you want to use a riser let us know if the Grizzly riser kit will work with it. There was a discussion about it just a little bit ago but can't find the thread.

Paul , I have the HF 14" bandsaw and just love it . I also have the riser block . Get yourself a decent blade (the blade it comes with is complete garbage . For a GP blade get a Delta or Olsen , cost around $10 at BORG , not as good as a timberwolf or a Woodslicer blade but better then the stock blade) and do a little tweeking and tuning and this saw will do as good a job as saws costing much more .
