So I drove down to the Grizzly Tools tent sale in Muncy PA last Saturday looking to pick up some art supplies :) I ended up with a few nice purchases that I hope will come in handy.

The first was a 12" disc sander. It had a tag on it that said "loose arbor screw". After a short inspection I decided the arbor screw was not loose so I picked it up for 1/2 the price of a new one. It tuns out that all it needed was the adjustment to make the table parallel to the faceplate.

Next, I was walking around the woodworking tent and almost tripped over a complete head stock for a Grizzly G0462 wood lathe. It's 2HP, variable speed, digital readout, etc. Not sure exactly what I'll do with it yet but I got it for alot less than just a motor would cost so I couldn't resist.

Lastly, as I was wandering around the metal working tent looking for a great deal on a small metal lathe I happened across this used Shop Fox Lathe-Mill combo. The tag said the cross slide didn't work but every thing else looked good so I grabbed it. Turns out the cross slide nut was missing, also missing the chuck wrench, and the MT3 dead center. Overall, I think it's going to be a fun machine to play around with.

I'm considering using it to replace the headstock of my old Delta Rockwell Lathe. The problem is the center of the Grizzly headstock if 9" from the bed and my old Delta Rockwell tail stock is 6" so I would have to replace my tailstock to use it.

Or...
Use your metal lathe/mill to build a raiser!
