It can get much worse.

These pics go around every now and then, but if you haven't seen
them, be warned.. these are extremely graphic.

Do not view these with children nearby. They are photos of a lathe
accident.

I wish I hadn't opened those pictures. You have to feel for the family of that man.
What I find troublesome is that he stands there and laughs.....they joke.....don't they realize that there are teens that will try that and end up hurt beyond repair?

I wish that people would think just a little more...accidents happen, stupidity doesn't just happen.

Actually, as awful as those pictures are, it is the reality of what can happen if you are not very careful while working with any type of power tool. I think that if people saw those photos when they first started using power tools, they would be much more aware of just how dangerous they can be. I'd rather show someone those photos and have the grossed out but aware, than to have to clean up after a horrible accident like that person had. Just one man's opinion.

Before anyone is allowed to purchase any power too, they should be required to view photos of victims of that type tool. Possibly it would make us each more careful around our tools.

Those pictures remind me to make my weekly public service announcement... seat belts save lives-wear them!, always check your safety equipment, and never say "hey y'all watch this"!
