Picked up a rosewood blank at Hearne's with the intention of making a proper shop pencil that, I hope, I can keep track of (my disposable mechanical pencils are NEVER to be found). This is an Eco Carpenter kit from exoticblanks.com, rosewood, homemade friction polish. Really nice kit.

Very nice. The clip would keep it in my turning smock. What size lead?
I have pencils all over the shop...some from the time my kids were in grade school decades ago.

Thanks! I wear an apron in the shop - you'd think I could keep writing implements in it. The 2" square is always there. I'm super-scattered, set things down without thinking about it, then spend ten minutes looking for a stupid pencil. Generally when I find one, it's either broken or out of lead. Hoping this is a magic bullet.

That's a great looking pencil. I've been looking at this one for months now https://www.pennstateind.com/store/PKSPCL2BT.html but haven't pulled the trigger.

I bought a few pica pencils off ebay after I saw them mentioned somewhere, can't remember if it was a post here or not.

I'll have to keep the Eco Carpenter in mind for my next order.
Thanks! The PSI one looks interesting, may have to give that a try.
