Can't be certain, but it looks like a HF I had. The headstock did not have a morse taper, it was always a spur drive. (for pens that would knock it out of the running, for me!)
 
The lathe, if purchased new from Grizzly, is only $169. Being MT1, I would have no interest in it unless I were considering it for use as a dedicated buffer. But even then, it is quite a bit overpriced.
 
I have the HF model above. It's at best decent, but by far has many issues. Mine is about a year old. When doing pens it has extensive vibration on the mandrel cashing the cut to be poor. Needs a lot of sanding on the pieces once I have them down to size. Other then a new lathe, any suggestions?

Personally, I also believe he is over priced for what he is selling.
The most I would offer is $150.00 and that is if he is close to you.
Gas for getting it, isn't cheap
 
Tom; I purchaced the exact same lathe from HF, on sale with a 20% off coupon, for $95 last year to use as a blank drilling lathe. I also turn larger pieces, closed end pens, and have set up my duplicater on it. You can get a lot of tools to fit the #1 tapor. All the ones from my Mini Metal lathe fit on it. You would probably be close to the $250 price on the lathe if you bougt all the items listed new. I would offer $150-175. Go to $200 to save time waiting for parts orders if you realy want it badly enough. It's not a bad lathe and is built very sturdy, plus if you get it from HF, you can return it if you don't like it.
