Need new software

I just got a new laptop with Win10. Now I need new software for MS Office programs. I know there is a site with open forum software that will open Word, Excell and PowerPoint files but I can't locate it. Can someone point me to the correct web site?

After a couple years with Open Office, I threw up my hands in disgust and bought Excel. I really have too much patience.

I'll try not to get too geeky, if I do I'm sorry, it's a work thing. Both LibreOffice and OpenOffice are based on the same "original" code which was owned by Sun Microsystems. Most of the Sun employees and volunteer contributors "forked" the code to start LibreOffice. Though both application suites are very similar, LibreOffice is developing more quickly and releasing new versions more frequently.
